Steven is a molecular Immunologist by training and was one of the first scientists to work on the UK arm of the Human Genome project. He occupied technical and commercial roles in the growth of  a university bioscience spin-out turned global PLC before becoming a driving force in developing the “health and wealth” agenda for Scottish digital healthcare. Steven co-founded the boutique consultancy D Health in 2013 and has advised blue-chip companies, start-ups and public bodies on diverse aspects of digital healthcare.
